ACTIVITIES OF YENDI CIC

In collaboration with the committee of the center, the activities below were carried out in the center.

To begin with, the center has trained a lot of people including pupils in both the JHS and SHS in the Yendi Municipality on various ICT programs, such as introduction to computer, ms-word, ms-excel, ms-power point, ms-access, typing, internet orientation and general secretarial work.

Also, the introduction of ICT in the basic education curriculum, propel the center manager in consultation with some of the committee members, the center manager discussed with the G.E.S Director and it was agreed to give an intensive practical training to the pupils within Yendi Municipality. this was discussed with the municipal director of education and a meeting was held with the heads of basic schools including the leadership of Ghana education service to enforce the programmed. Some of the schools that has so far received the training are , Yendi L/A Primary, Na-Yakuba JHS, Presby JHS, Kulkpeni EP JHS, Balogu JHS and Zohe EP JHS.

Not only that but also, in collaboration with the committee and account office, has been able to repair two broken computers and purchase of keyboards, mousses and switch boards through the funds generated by the center.

In addition, on so many occasions, the center has been able to advance it programs in many areas. For instance, the Center was able to create it own website to published its activities and the whole municipal at large. The inaugural activities, festivals, sports, open forum, peace and developmental activities can be published through the website.

However, the Center is not only providing the training and the internet service, but also do repairs and servicing of computers in the Yendi municipality.

Last but not the least, the latest developmental activity the center is currently running which happened to be the first time since the center was established several years ago is the checking of results for JHS and SHS released by the West Africa Examination Council.
